This Privacy Policy describes what information Paper Poker ("we", "the Service") collects and how it's used. We collect the minimum needed to run the Service and nothing more.

1. What We Collect

Account information: the email address and display name you provide at signup, and a securely hashed (never plain-text) version of your password.
Gameplay data: hands played, wins/losses, XP, rank, Coins balance, and similar in-game statistics tied to your account.
Session data: a small, first-party cookie that keeps you logged in and lets your browser reconnect to your game session. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

2. What We Don't Do

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not currently show third-party ads or use third-party analytics/tracking scripts.

3. How We Use Your Information

To operate your account (login, session persistence), to track your in-game progress (rank, Coins, cosmetics), to maintain leaderboards, and to keep the Service secure (e.g. rate-limiting abusive login attempts).

4. Data Retention

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time.

5. Data Security

Passwords are hashed using a memory-hard algorithm and never stored in plain text. Session tokens are stored as httpOnly cookies not accessible to page scripts.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
